The Process
When it comes to preserving family memories, it seems that everyone has a different need. That's why each project we do is tailor made to fit your request. Every project begins with a consultation to set down guidlines, a schedule, and of course a budget.
Even though each project that we take on is very different, there are several steps that are included in every one of them:
* The interview or interviews (many times it can require much more than what can be achieved in one sitting). They can be scheduled to be done over the phone, through the computer, or in person. The flexibility of the interview depends on which project or combination you choose.
* Next we'll transcribe the interviews into a narrative or a cohesive string of short stories.
* We will then work with you to choose the visuals, mementos, photos, and recipes to carefully accentuate the written portion (it is sometimes a good idea to have the photos before writing occurs, as it helps with the continuity and organization of the story). The items can be sent via FedEx, UPS, or USPS. We also accept items that are scanned by you and loaded to a CD.
* Lastly, you will choose the graphics, format, choice of binding, and the quanity required to suit your family.
The results are always a treasure!!
